Damn wild you only remade a quarter of the game and called it a day
Wild how much the ability to aim ruins the feeling and design of every boss fight and so many enemies. Also wow the second story is treated like shit and a after thought here and not like the actually second part of the game… it’s just repeating half of the original game even the same weak “puzzles” and bosses but just shorter. The game says it has the B scenario it does not at all the stories of A &B are identical so gone is the 4 different play through the game has to offer replaced with really just 1 and a half. With Leon and Claire being way more interchangeable and having a lot less personal storylines and moments unique to them. And also the odd fact they made it so none of the stories can actually co-exist.
I prefer the original for way too many reasons but this is still an okay replacement if you are someone who is a fan of modern games it’s just a shame you’d be missing so much.
Feel like Claire was shafted so hard in this due to the lack of cross interaction of her and Leon in their stories. And also the game seems to mostly treat Leon A from the original game as the through-line and base all the stories in the remake are built off. Sherry tho is treated perfectly and is amazing.
