Cruelty Squad takes the game-design and visual language of '90s FPS and immersive sim games and breaks all the rules to convey its surreal anti-capitalist satire. The aggressive presentation and vague worldbuilding (of a deeply cynical world) would make Cruelty Squad a difficult thing to engage with if it weren't such a fun, creatively designed, and intriguing game under it all. It's no wonder Cruelty Squad has cultivated such a dedicated following; it's truly one-of-a-kind.
