Zero Mission is so tight, so good. What a breezy and joyful way to wrap up 2D Metroid's original run. The game mirrors its own end-game item hunt, a confident victory lap executed with skill, experience, and grace. Sure, maybe it's a little too light to rank up there with Super, but Zero Mission remains to this day a shining pillar of the Metroid series.
