I haven't played a game that is designed to be so aggressively against the player until this one. Sonic Superstars is honestly the worst game of 2023 for me and yet i went into this expecting absolutely nothing and i was still let down.
This game is filled to the brim with design flaws, glitches and especially audio-balancing issues. Seriously you will not find a single level without some sound-effects overlapping to deafening levels.
The boss battles are the worst thing ever with no exceptions and absolute pace-breakers.
The physics are still terrible like in all classic Sonic games where it's literally impossible to walk uphill from a standstill, and you run into enemies every 2 seconds because they don't want you to go fast in a game whose entire selling point is being a fast-paced sidescroller.
I don't get the "design philosophy" of classic Sonic at all. Just play Super Mario Bros. Wonder or Freedom Planet 1 & 2 instead, these are worth you time and money at least tenfold compared to this garbage.
