Another excellent entry in the trilogy, great level design with a balance of speed and platforming, however enemy placement and spike placement can be a bit frustrating especially in the later zones. Most bosses suck however the final and true final boss are great. The partner mechanic is excellent and the medal system is good, both adding replay value. The game looks visually great and the ost is pretty good too, especially the boss themes. Collecting 10 chao is decently fun, but grinding sp keys just for one chance at an unfair special stage (special stage 7) is not fun.

Overall, this is a great platformer and good follow up from Advance 2, although I see this game as equal with Advance 2.

88/100
