This was a weird experience. I was recommended playing this by a friend. Was told the story was very skippable so that's what I did so I can't say much on it.

The game takes heavy inspiration from Fire Emblem which is a series that I've dropped a lot from boredom which I should've realized when I picked up this game...I got through 9 chapters which is about 1/3rd of the game and didn't really feel the game play was grabbing me as much as I'd liked it too. Maybe if I paid attention to the story I would like it?

tldr: A perfect storm to just say: "it's not for me"
