This game is crazy... but only if you're not a programmer in real life, probably.

Nite Team 4 is a game made by Alice & Smith, which is a studio that, to my understanding, takes pride on making in depth ARG and games with ARG elements. And while NT4 isn't really a full blown ARG game, it has enough real elements that makes you question whether you should be playing this game or not.

This is a game about cyberwarfare and you're a hacker working for the government. The crazy thing about it is that it actually uses some real names and a lot of real programming lines. Now, I will say up front that I'm NOT a programmer in real life but my best friend is a pretty good dev working for a big company in the country I live. While he wasn't interested in playing the game, he told me the game references codes, softwares and techniques that are used in real life and the game actually links you to real sites talking about this stuff, that aren't related to the game at all.

NT4 at it's core, is a puzzle game, but to people that have no idea what actual dev work is, it's outlandish enough that it doesn't feel like you're putting the right piece in the right slot, it feels like you "found" a breach in a server, installed a backdoor, hacked a drone and listened to a conversation happening inside a moving car.

It is a VERY immersive game in a way that feels different to most other games, because in other games it feels like you're sucked into that world, in NT4 it feels like you're an extension of that world because the moment you click the game icon, YOU become the character.

Note that you will have to "study" the game a bit to be able to play it. There's a "hacker" academy inside the game that will teach you everything you need but it's a lot of stuff and you'll need write down some of the command lines you might need.
