Yeah, the E-Day trailer got me all nostalgic. I was talking to my friend right before that showcase basically explaining how I was begging for any word on the new gears game. So when that trailer popped up, we'll it's all I've wanted for so long.

But enough about Gears E-Day

Gears of War Ultimate edition is a from the ground up Remake of the first Gears game made by the coalition in order to get comfortable making new gears games. Now, this remake came out 9 years after the original, a little too soon if you ask me but whatever, and it does absolutely nothing else other than add the Brumak section in act V that was only there in the Games for Windows Live version ALL the way back when.

So in other words this isn't an incredible remake or even that memorable of one. I played the original Gears 1 after having played 3 and Judgement and I was still shocked at how great the first looked (at that time). So this might just be the "way you remember it" typa remake.

But yeah, this was A LOT of fun

Killing grubs, kicking ass, bantering with Dom, Cole, and Baird.

This shit was my childhood man! I may have moved onto playstation in my teen years but I'll always remember gears on my 360. This playthrough got me wishing for a Series X just so I could play all my old 360 games on backwards compatible. I'll probably get one next year since I plan on collecting a bunch of physical media starting next year and the Series X is every Xbox ever combined into one odd shaped tower.

So thank you gears, for having me miss your so much that I'm gonna spend $500 on a console I don't need just so I can play games for a console I already have 👍
