The series' weakest entry in terms of setting, characters, and cases unfortunately mangles the narrative that began with Trigger Happy Havoc all the way through Killing Harmony. I played each game, including Ultra Despair Girls, and watched the anime between the second and third entries, and I felt like V3 ends as a disservice to the time spent doing so. As is usual with my writeups of the Danganronpa series, I will avoid speaking in too much depth as to avoid the easy to reach spoilers (which is the case with most visual novels,) but this was overall a tremendous dissapointment to me and where I thought the series could go. To the writing team's credit, the trademark humor and captivating lore of the franchise returns in full effect and makes the actual gameplay a decent enough time, yet I don't think it was enough to resuscitate my feelings towards it. The game's narrative takes a tremendously ambitious leap that I truly believe is a massive detriment to the story. The last trial lasting as long as it does for the conclusion it leads to is nearly criminal. I guess I would recommend this game if you're already deep into Danganronpa otherwise, I would suggest you don't play it as to preserve the magic of the first two games and even Ultra Despair Girls' lore.

P.S: Himiko is legitimately the worst character to appear in any Danganronpa game/show.
