Version: TMNT the Cowabunga Collection

Sadly never had the opportunity to play the arcade version back in the day. If I ever get to own an arcade, I hope it's of this game. I did play the SNES version back then and can say that this version is just a much fun but with better visuals.
That's why most in the review will be very similar.

My thoughts:
(+ = (mostly) positive; - = (mostly) negative)
+- Gameplay;
Solid gameplay. The levels are harder, but that's to expect from an arcade game. I didn't expect there to be different bosses, but was pleasantly surprised. Didn't play it in co-op this time.

++ Music;
Easily the best part of the game. Really can't get enough of the whole OST. Even love the Voiceclips they use! I like the SNES music a bit more, but the Voiceclips in this version are better (expect they forgot to voice BIG APPLE).

+ Graphics;
I like all the themes they have for each level. It really makes them all unique and rememberable. the additional animation frames and background visuals really make this game look stunning and nostalgic.

+- Story/Characters;
Every level has a different boss, which they didn't have to do but very much appreciate. There isn't really a story to mention.

Recommend?
I'd rather recommend shredder's revenge. If you like that game, then get the collection for sure!
