My first ever Yakuza game. I know very little of this series. After the initial struggle of fight scenes in the first couple of chapters, I quickly had to turn this game on easy. Combo fighting is not my forte.
My partner and I made the mistake of doing hours of side missions in Chapter 3. We easily had 20 hours at this point and I was not enjoying this game. I was interested in what I saw from the main story, but I only pulled this finish for him. While it was our mistake of cramming that many side content at once, half of them simply weren't fun. Usually dealing with a mini game with trash controls. I would be frustrated to the point of wanting to quit the entire game.
By the time we reached real estate gaming, that menu simulator was more enjoyable for me than many of the mini games. The other job was fun too. If I could have skipped all the fighting to focus on those two jobs, I probably would have had a better time.
Once the main story kicked off and we focused more on it, I was having fun. I became more attached to the main characters. We have the next game but I not in a hurry to begin.
