The game's synopsis grabbed my attention from Playstation Plus and I decided to give it a try before it leaves the service. It sounded silly; that's maybe the best word I could come up with before starting. After playing, it is absolute bonkers.

You are trapped in an otherworld searching for your friend that has gone missing. The gameplay consists of environmental puzzles to progress. You will be on fire, decapitated, lose limbs, etc to progress these levels. I had no idea the level of graphic violence. (To be fair the game does give you warning before starting and it handles difficult topics better than two games I unfortunately played last year that I will not get over.) But damn, when you know you have to injure yourself and hear JJ screaming, I felt real bad.

Most of the puzzles and levels were fun to solve and explore. There's a couple that were so vague I had to look up hints, or solutions. The collectibles are whatever, even the secret texts don't add much to the story. The platforming isn't best to control either. Definitely enjoyed the atmosphere, odd gameplay execution, and the story.
