Wait Metal Slug IS back?!

Metal Slug 5 is the direct sequel to Metal Slug 4 still developed by Noise Factory and published by MEGA, though this time MEGA does not seem to have participated in the development of the game unlike Metal Slug 4.
This game is great, the stages are fun, the new enemies are very original and fun to fight, and the difficulty is a bit tough but generally on point like the Nazca games, I'd say this is what the franchise needed! But it's not all sunshine and rainbows with Metal Slug 5... This game was unfortunately rushed.

So how come the game is great but also rushed at the same time? it mostly shows during the last stage being a terrible mess with weird level transitions, unused bosses and enemies, and just generally not fun to play. The game stays fairly consistent in quality throughout its first 4 stages but unfortunately ends with the 5th stage just like 3 did but unfortunately, instead of having one stage that feels like 3 it's just one disappointing final stage...
Like Metal Slug 4, this game doesn't add much in terms of gameplay features outside of a Slide kick that isn't all too useful and the amazing Slug Gunner that I wish were used more in the game or future games as well.

To me, this is the true Metal Slug 4... If only we could get a director's cut remaster...
