Anime Games that don't have the exact name of the Anime in the Title
There's been a very strange trend I've noticed in the last few years where there will be licensed anime video games that, when localised outside of Japan, will have the title of the game very slightly altered to not actually be the name of the series its based on. What gives? In almost all of the examples listed below these games are directly named after the franchises they are adapting and had their names changed when localised, despite very visibly and blatantly still being part of their respective franchises.
Sometimes this only happens for PAL releases, while America gets the proper title. (i.e. the Attack on Titan games have all had non "Attack on Titan" names in Europe while being untouched in America.) For pre-2010s titles that undergone this change, the symptoms would seemingly be of an assumed lack of familiarity with the source material, but that is harder to accept with more modern examples here, considering the brand is the thing selling these games in the first place.
Please note this is for anime games that have had only their titles changed in the localisation process, any more extreme examples of completely removing the IP entirely, (such as Black Belt/Houkto no Ken or Street Combat/Ranma ½: Chōnai Gekitōhen) are not applicable here.
