I love playing these kind of games with my girlfriend as we pass the controller for the characters we select for ourselves knowing nothing of the story. This one we found unsettling for some reason. It's not our favourite in the series, but it creeped us out a lot more than the others. Perhaps its harder to suspend disbelief when there's a mad killer with access to your every move. I can't really figure out what I didn't like about it. The horror elements were well done, but the suspense of not knowing what was around the corner never really dawned on me. My girlfriend may have a different opinion.

The scariest part happens when the first character is "played with". A sudden sense of dread happens. After that, there are suspenseful moments, but nothing compared to the initial.
