the actual DLC sucks shit because it's just like 4 dark spawn encounters and a shitty puzzle with a laughably black-and-white conflict at the end, but shale as a character is absolutely great. her build isn't remarkable and overall she's underwhelming on the gameplay side of things, but the lore + character interactions she adds more than make up for that. it also helps that, if you're a rogue (rogue mains rise up), you get some extremely good earlygame gear from honnleath.
