Sonic mania to me was not the masterpiece i was hoping for. its essentially just the classic sonic games but with new levels which are fun, but there is one problem and that's that half the levels are just straight up taken directly from the original games, and i think something a lot of people forget is that the level design in a lot of the classic sonic levels was complete ass. it REALLY shows that these levels are 20 years old and they feel downright unplayable sometimes. especially the water levels. if you want to only play the first half of the game, or just enjoy torturing yourself, maybe you'll enjoy this game.
