25 years late but I finally got around to playing this. I got all puzzle pieces and Honeycombs, plus 834 out of 900 musical notes.

This is very good but I don't understand why a lot of people say it's better than Mario 64. Gruntilda's Lair is needlessly large and convoluted compared to the beautiful simplicity of Peach's castle, and Banjo and Kazooie both feel very sluggish and clumsy compared to the precise ninja-like agility of Mario. The way Banjo and Kazooie work in tandem to perform special moves is very cool, but it's just not as satisfying as controlling Mario.

However, I will say that this game is super funny and has a little more personality than Mario 64. The first time Banjo and Kazooie started talking I laughed out loud at their little voices. The character designs and dialogue are consistently silly and great throughout.
