After completing Vice City - Definitive Edition, my next stop was Grand Theft Auto 3, which, is probably of the 3D GTA games my least played so it’s hard to compare the DE to the other editions.
However. This game is fundamentally broken. I had so much more issues and rage playing through this than Vice City. It suffers the same issue of Traffic / Peds always on ‘rage’ mode, however, I found that the whole ramming vehicles does 0.1% damage vs shotguns being an ‘instant explosion’ to be so absolutely absurd and irritating.
Also, why is Claude unable to sprint / run for more than 2 seconds before being exhausted? What is the sprint function for if its just a quick two step?
GTA 3 also has the weakest story/plot and I understand this was probably due to the transition to PS2, to 3D and just trialing out how it would function but when compared to the others.. meh.
Would I play it again?
From the beginning? - no.
To clean up achievements and just cause mayhem? - probably.
