This is a fan remake that is blind to the obvious flaws of the original. Movement is bad, level design is often linear and unimaginative, and there are numerous issues with the readability of encounters. Hit boxes are wonky, the fragility of the main character is frustrating, and the music is bland. There is some charm still visible from the original. But the new devs have too little that they’re willing to adjust,what might have been interesting and different in ‘86 doesn’t hold up in 2021.
