I've beaten this game five times (that I recall, it was probably more than that) & have sunken too many hours into trying and failing to get a no death ironbro run done on Normal. However, that isn't to say the game is some hardcore testosterone nonsense (though there ain't nuthin' wrong with Dark Souls), it's flexible to be whatever level of testosterone nonsense you want it to be. It can range from brainless manic fun to stressful brainful frustrating fun and I love it. If you're not sure about the investment The Expendabros is basically a standalone free demo version you can play that even has multiplayer as well to give you a little taste to gauge your palate for the game.
