Super Adventure Island is a simple, yet very addicting game about a guy who got his girlfriend turned into stone at the start of the game and he goes to reverse the spell by beating up the wizard who did it. You go through five different worlds, each consisting of three stages with an extra stage that is a boss fight.
After that, the game ends weirdly, without any explanation how the spell was reversed. The game throughout the journey is very simple: You go from the left side to the right, hop on a skateboard at times or just climb until you reach the top a mountain or a tree. Every level ends with you jumping into an orb with a star on it.
The game does very little in terms of interesting mechanics. You die from one hit, you have two weapons, a few enemies, done. The vibe and the short nature of it all makes this one fun, you can even finish it in 30 minutes.
