Games I think more people should play!

I'm gonna say the words... /hidden gems/ that I think would be beloved if only more people would play them.

Wintermoor Tactics Club
Wintermoor Tactics Club
Fantastic adventure game with a loveable cast and hilarious writing on top of a solid story. I was scared at first because of the tactics based combat sections but honestly they're very approachable and easy to breeze through with a bit of thinking.
Before the Green Moon
Before the Green Moon
A very low-key game but one of the most immersive experiences I've had in gaming in a while. Get lost in another world for a bit.
HoloVista
HoloVista
A hidden object game with stunning visuals that got tragically overlooked because it's a mobile game, but being on a phone actually works really well for it. If you like pretty indie games about people working through issues then give this a chance!
Snake Farm
Snake Farm
High-octane "roguelike" that's simple, yet far more complex than it looks at first glance. Low-price for a lot of replay value.
Tadpole Treble
Tadpole Treble
Adorable little rhythm game with a banging soundtrack, but it really stands out for being so heartfelt. You can really feel the love the devs poured into every single detail.
The Count Lucanor
The Count Lucanor
Surprisingly layered adventure game with a fantastic gothic fairytale setting. Clever puzzles and some spooky scares, as well as several endings you'll actually feel compelled to find.
Petal Crash
Petal Crash
An arcade puzzler about knocking colored blocks into each other that comes with a really fun story mode!
Forgotton Anne
Forgotton Anne
Basically an animated film with platforming sections. The production value of this is incredible, if you're at all a fan of animation this is a must-play.
The World Next Door
The World Next Door
I can't lie, this one is a little bit of a rip-off because it ends on a cliffhanger and there's no sign of a sequel any time soon BUT the urban fantasy isekai is worth it.
Monster Garden
Monster Garden
A game for the weird kids.
Mission: It's Complicated
Mission: It's Complicated
This is for people like me who like superheroes but don't really care about, like, the fighting parts, just the parts where people with double lives get to hang out and discuss their feelings. It's fanfiction come to life in the best way possible. And it's free!
Forest's Secret
Forest's Secret
A little Zelda-like puzzle solver game that stands out for its well realized setting, I'm a big fan of the creator's art style and they really snapped with this one. Short but a cozy little way to spend a few hours. Also it's free!
Elevator Hitch
Elevator Hitch
Visual novel with puzzle elements about getting trapped in an elevator that takes you through a twisted office building hellscape. Endlessly stylish and the puzzles are super clever. Also it's free!
Don't Toy With Me
Don't Toy With Me
Visual novel about two dolls in a dollhouse that's like... soft psychological horror. Well written and has a killer aesthetic. Also it's free!
Kaiju Noir
Kaiju Noir
It's a noir detective story BUT it's set in an underground world populated entirely by giant monsters, so...
Sticky Zeitgeist: Episode 3 - A Trick With Ants
Queer punk art that deserves more attention! It's difficult to describe these "games" but the world they present is so interesting- post apocalyptic, lonely, angsty, sexual, and very sticky. I'm putting the third on here but start with the first (which doesn't even have a page on Backloggd).
Genderwrecked
Genderwrecked
I kinda thought this one was more popular but it has no reviews on here? Play this, it's a funny but thought provoking journey through a series of islands in the sky populated by wacky characters.
Extreme Meatpunks Forever: Bound by Ash
Extreme Meatpunks Forever: Bound by Ash
A weird combination of beat-em-up and visual novel about queer kids piloting giant meat robots through a desert and using them to punch Nazis. It's kinda janky but in a cool way and it contains some incredibly raw and cutting writing.
Day Repeat Day
Day Repeat Day
On the surface it's just a Match 3 game with a depressing Amazon warehouse worker simulation visual novel attached, but once you crack into the ARG elements things get very interesting...
Universe For Sale
Universe For Sale
Gorgeous playable graphic novel, really transported me to a sci-fi world and told me an intriguing story while I was there.
