Fantastic adventure game with a loveable cast and hilarious writing on top of a solid story. I was scared at first because of the tactics based combat sections but honestly they're very approachable and easy to breeze through with a bit of thinking.
A very low-key game but one of the most immersive experiences I've had in gaming in a while. Get lost in another world for a bit.
A hidden object game with stunning visuals that got tragically overlooked because it's a mobile game, but being on a phone actually works really well for it. If you like pretty indie games about people working through issues then give this a chance!
High-octane "roguelike" that's simple, yet far more complex than it looks at first glance. Low-price for a lot of replay value.

Surprisingly layered adventure game with a fantastic gothic fairytale setting. Clever puzzles and some spooky scares, as well as several endings you'll actually feel compelled to find.
An arcade puzzler about knocking colored blocks into each other that comes with a really fun story mode!
Basically an animated film with platforming sections. The production value of this is incredible, if you're at all a fan of animation this is a must-play.
I can't lie, this one is a little bit of a rip-off because it ends on a cliffhanger and there's no sign of a sequel any time soon BUT the urban fantasy isekai is worth it.

Queer punk art that deserves more attention! It's difficult to describe these "games" but the world they present is so interesting- post apocalyptic, lonely, angsty, sexual, and very sticky. I'm putting the third on here but start with the first (which doesn't even have a page on Backloggd).
I kinda thought this one was more popular but it has no reviews on here? Play this, it's a funny but thought provoking journey through a series of islands in the sky populated by wacky characters.
A weird combination of beat-em-up and visual novel about queer kids piloting giant meat robots through a desert and using them to punch Nazis. It's kinda janky but in a cool way and it contains some incredibly raw and cutting writing.
On the surface it's just a Match 3 game with a depressing Amazon warehouse worker simulation visual novel attached, but once you crack into the ARG elements things get very interesting...
Gorgeous playable graphic novel, really transported me to a sci-fi world and told me an intriguing story while I was there.
