i think this game succeeds in what its trying to accomplish but i cant help but compare it to its predecessors, personally I enjoyed the collectible count of the two previous open worldish 3d mario games much better , there is just so many unnecessarily placed moons in the game (especially in the late game) also there being no hub world was a huge down side for me. I really enjoy the gameplay but I can't help but think that this game just took the wrong direction. Its quality, just not for me.
