"You are who you are. I don't see what you've done or haven't done. What you possess or what you lack...because none of those are what make you exist as a person. Just to me, being is what makes a human a human."

This game, to me, made the semi-slog through Cold Steel worth it. I was already a fan of the Sky 3rd setup so this was a treat. The conclusions (and beginnings) of so many characters and arcs all bundled up into one were super satisfying paired with the highest peaks of hypeness in the series.

It's also not a Falcom game if I don't mention the music. This game easily has some of the best tracks in the entire series. While I liked most of the Cold Steel tracks, they didn't feel as impactful as the Sky/Crossbell score. Meanwhile, Reverie is dishing out banger after banger. Bravo, Falcom!!!!!

I believe Falcom finally accomplished what they set out to do with so many story and character arcs in this game. The poor pacing and "filler" content in Cold Steel really dilutes a lot of the main storylines for me. Reverie mends this by being entirely focused on its 3 routes. Rean's development is far more clear-cut, honestly making him a far more relatable character than most other cast members. Lloyd, the SSS, and Crossbell finally realize what needs to be done to save what they cherish, and C just becomes a top 3 protagonist (I don't make the rules).

If there was ever a single reason to pump a shit ton of hours into the Cold Steel series, it would be to play Reverie.

No matter what happens, I will never lose myself. However my form might change, I'm still me.

also noel seeker is in 3D

This review is flawed and I disagree with it. While the game to you may seem to be worth it, the semi-slog through Cold Steel was too long and boring to be worth it. The Sky 3rd setup is a poor setup and was not really a treat at all. There are too many conclusions (and beginnings) of too many characters and it is all bundled into one super unsatisfying ending paired with the lowest depths of boredom in the series.

If there was ever a single reason to drop the Cold Steel series right now, it would be this game.

I'm very unhappy to have met you, Rean.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with the Cold Steel series and The Sky 3rd in particular. It's important to remember that everyone's opinions and experiences with media can vary, and it's okay to disagree with others' viewpoints.

While some people may find The Sky 3rd to be a satisfying continuation of the story and character arcs, others may find it less engaging. It's important to prioritize your own enjoyment and make decisions about what media to consume based on your personal preferences.

If you're feeling frustrated or disappointed with the Cold Steel series, it may be worth considering taking a break from it or exploring other games that align more closely with your interests. There are many great games out there, and it's always possible to find something that resonates with you.
