This game is some good shit, it convinced me that I can actually, and finally, enjoy a survival horror game.

I love the atmosphere in this game and the less frustrating controls in comparison to 1 Remake. IT'S SMOOTH. I much prefer the run away kind of horror as opposed to the brute force shoot my way through horror, and this game will have you running.. and running far.

Even though I was aware of Mr. X's existence going into it, he was still quite the foreboding presence. There are multiple opportunities to just sneak by some enemies rather than killing them and it's just way more intense and enjoyable for me not knowing if I'd still have enough resources later even after passing by multiple rooms of enemies.

That being said, I found the boss fights a bit atrocious. It's the only time in the game where you're literally forced to use everything you have to win, which I think the idea is fine, but it's frustrating when you've been saving all of your bullets the whole game and have none after a cinematic battle. Those are the only parts that annoyed me, the rest is fantastic.

Both plotlines are great but I do agree that Claire's is better. Love me some Ada Wong though. There is also a dynamic difficulty curve in this game that I super appreciate as well. The game will take note that you're doing well and make enemies harder to kill because of it, until they inevitably kill you back. I just wish the game wouldn't ask if you want to change difficulty to baby mode at every single death.
