I mean... I guess it's alright? After the classic trilogy, it's a huge difference in style in every imaginable way.
The graphics are better, but the realistic colors are much uglier in retrospect, and even contribute negatively to visibility since it's a bit harder to tell the enemies from the background at certain places.
Some quality-of-life improvements regarding combat make the game much, much easier than the previous three, and it's an overall more player-friendly experience, though it is slightly jarring jumping from the 8-bit ones to this.
Lastly, after two installments that highly value story elements, IV simply goes back to "whip the fuck out of these monsters bruv" basics and I must say, it's a bit disappointing. In retrospect, it doesn't go much further than being an easier, uglier, 16-bit remake of the classic Castlevania. This doesn't make it less fun, as I finished it in a single day with very few breaks. I guess every complaint is minimal compared to how fun the game is.
