ok but this is peak. like this is genuinely the first sonic game in years to actually capture the characters personalities. honestly, i don't even think it needed the eggman plot, the game was already good enough without it. also i love the main character, barry the quokka is the best sonic character EVER!!! it's free on steam so if you haven't go play it!!!

PEAKEST GAME OF THE CENTURY!!! fr though, this game is rlly fun! i haven't completed it, but i've seen people play through the game so i know basically every little easter egg and ending and secret dialogue and other stuff. the reason i haven't finished it is because it's too hard for me (i suck at games), but thats my own fault lol. this games ost will forever live in my playlists because every song is a BANGER!!! even the Long Elevator song, which fun fact, is literally just a recording of Toby Fox's washing machine. so yeah, 5 stars baby go play it if you haven't!!!
Honestly, this was a fresh of breath air for the series. I really like the open world style, and the added danger instead of the usual safety. The only reason I'm giving it a 4.5 is because of the dialogue. I know most of the recent Pokémon games have long ass unskippable dialogue, but that doesn't mean I'll make an exception. I also didn't find much interest in the story, but overall it's a great game! (i didn't mention it but theres quite a few bugs, although i haven't experienced any)
