A simplified take on the Xenoblade formula, Future Connected tells the story of what happened to Alcamoth after the main game's story. Most of it takes place in one area but, thanks to its massive size, still manages to keep the sense of exploration intact. Gameplay keeps the essential elements of Xenoblade but removes many mechanics like affinity, gem crafting and skill trees. The only one I truly missed was the Affinity Chart, since it made the world feel much more alive.

Overall, this is a fine experience. It's not particularly long (took me 15 hours to do every quest) and has some fun quests and battles. Definitely recommended after finishing the main story of Xenoblade.
