A very charming and relaxing game on the surface, but eventually the lackluster second half and the clunky mechanics really wears that down. I really wanted to finish this one and get one of a handful of endings, but after you explore the bulk of it and get a wife and all that it essentially just becomes a chore. I would have loved to finish it normally to see how my farm would end up, but quickly got impatient after the second half of the second year and just spammed go to sleep every day until the suffering was over. There is so little to do in the colder seasons, just going to feed the livestock eventually felt like pulling teeth. All in all I’m pretty impressed at what they managed to cram into such an old game, but hope the later iterations I’ll ease my pain.
