I didn't really play enough of the original Stanley Parable to give it a review, but Ultra Deluxe allowed me to fully appreciate this game. Whats incredible about The Stanley Parable is how it is able to fully engage the player with just two things: your actions, and incredibly sharp writing. The writing is everything in The Stanley Parable. It has been crafted and edited to perfection. Every scenario and choice you make leads down a new, meaningful path that is always interesting and always insightful.

The extra content gag(s) are also very funny and poke fun at the AAA game industry and their re-releases. While I'm not sure the more limited extra content warrants the game's current price tag (most of the content is the same from the original 2013 release), it is still welcome and gives just a little more oomph to this philosophical game.

Ultimately, it's still The Stanley Parable, but with a few new bells and whistles worth exploring. As someone who didn't experience the original as much as I should have, I found it to be an incredible experience worth the price of admission. This game is timeless with its analysis of games and choices, which is even more present in the extra content. Go ahead and give this game a shot if you've never experienced The Stanley Parable before. If you like games that poke fun of themselves and the game industry as a whole, you'll love this experience.
