Short little gem.

I was not expecting to get emotional with such a short game. I heard some people praising this game and it being a short one made me want to give it a try. I woke up on a Sunday morning and decided to play it.

The art is super charming, it looks like a kid's book and it fits the type of game very well. The sound design is also amazing, everything you do has a very satisfying sound. The songs were also great, I even searched some of them after I was done cause they were all so interesting.

In short, this is a cooking game. But not just that, it's a story-driven cooking game. For most of the game, you play as an Indian woman who moved to Canada with her husband to try a new life. Soon, they discover they will have a kid, and the game touches on the struggles of raising a son in a totally different culture.

The cooking part is short and simple. You cook Indian recipes at different stages of the family life. It's a really cool concept because food is a big part of Indian culture and it's really well-represented in this game as it shows how food can be a big part of a mother-son relationship. I won't get into details, but it made me cry at the end, as some of the subjects the game touches upon were very close to my heart.

Please, play this game, you can finish it in an hour and I'm sure you won't regret it, it's one of the biggest surprises I had recently and I wish I played this earlier.
