This season (like the last one) was amazing content wise, especially seeing as we had a great battle pass, sand-tunnelling (which was a let down as it was forced to be removed due to bugs where you could become invisible), and cool map changes which made the game feel fresh.
This season saw exotic weapons added, that you could buy from NPC's around the map with the new gold currency system (that stored over matches).
This season was great, that's kinda it though... Sand tunnelling was hilarious and made for great plays at the start of the season... until it was never seen again after they were forced to remove it 10 days after being added due to bugs where players could turn invisible.
What did I like? I think the best part of this season were the AMAZING map changes (made the game feel so fresh again), the battle pass, and Winterfest, which was GOATED this time around.
Map Changes No, we didn't get a new POI, but an entire new MAP (kinda). The whole map looked completely different!
Maybe it was the removal of the Stark Industries island, but the POI's were godly imo (most of them).
We had the Colosseum, which was kinda annoying to escape (similar to Coral Castle) but was a really cool fighting ground in the middle and fighting there made it really hard to get third-party or third-party any one inside as it was so tightly closed off, which was a huge +.
We got Tilted Towers back!... kinda? It was now called Salty Towers and was a mix of Salty Springs and Tilted Towers, 2 really good POI's that honestly, kinda worked, and was also covered in sand as this was in the sandy part of the map.
Speaking of the sand, we had the Zero Point is the very middle which made for an infinite wins glitch where you could just sit in it because when you touched the Zero Point it would heal you.
There were also Zero Point crystals around the Zero Point that would give you the hop rock effect.
Stealthy Stronghold was located above PP and was (similar to the Colosseum) very enclosed and third-parties were quite un-common here.
Overall a good season, although the fucking crossovers this season were so god-awful! Mandolorian and Predator were good as they fit the theme of the season, although this was the season where collabs became just Fortnite's thing and not exciting because there were so many of them
