After playing the first game,i was left dissapointed and honestly even uninterested with the franchise until they announced the remake of the second game,and i thought to myself to give it a chance once if it still sucks then the series is just not for me,now that i've finished it i enjoyed it tho i definitely still expected more from the game that's regarded as the best game in the franchise.
The game looks very good while sometimes it looks way too bright i don't mind it that much,and the gameplay is fun not just the combat but the whole customization with skills and stuff,from gameplay and visual perspective i'd like it but god do the story & characters really bored me.
Claude and Rena is the obvious duo and it's honestly sad they barely did anything to make the options characters feels more important than just being there,the main duo aren't that much better either they have cool moments sure but it feels like they're still the same character from the beginning the same dull and boring mcs.
The story is just fine the second half is definitely when the real shit starts,even then its still stays just okay especially with how the villains turned out to be.
As the game that's regarded as the best in the franchise i certainly disagree but i'd still enjoy my time with it and now i'm more interested checking out the later games just to see did they took a step forward or backwards.
