again suda has left me speechless, theres so much i want to talk about in this game and im not going to be able to get to all of it, with a story so dense and suda's storytelling style of "leaving some things unsaid" im probably gonna be picking apart this game for days or weeks on end.

i guess ill start with the art style, which is the first thing that piqued my interest in this game. in a world where character sprite vectors are extremely high resolution, highly detailed, and perfected, it's so refreshing and cool to see this game's approach to the art style. character portraits are the opposite -- imperfect: you can see the brushstrokes lining osato's hair, you can see the scribbles left by the artist on tsuki's tie. beautiful drawings flash on the screen for a few seconds and then never show up again. i cant praise it enough, it really looks amazing and unique and is probably my favorite art in a video game.

the music is incredibly creative too but its akira yamaoka so you didnt need me to tell you that. the insane selection of sounds in one of correctness's main tracks, de/crypt, is just insane. incredible

not gonna get really deep into my interpretation of the story but the fact that this was written in 2005 is kind of mind blowing, before everyone having a twitter account, before your corporate standing being dependent on your linkedin, before internet personalities became a method to being a multi millionaire. humans become computers and computers become humans. don't like yourself? it doesnt matter anymore because you can exist in cables and wires, for better or worse. i guess god is in the net.

haven't even talked about kamui yet but this review is too long already maybe ill edit it later. i say this for every suda game i play but im never gonna experience anything like this again. i hope this new grasshopper title is something weird as fuck and interesting like this. peak.
