It's amazing how this game feels like a real game, despite being on a portable console. The story missions are divided into small stages that follow a chapter-based history. You play as Snake, grow your base, develop weapons, and even build your own Metal Gear. You can replay previous stages with new developed items to unlock better soldiers, and play side missions with different layouts and objectives. This game has absurd replayability, trust me.

The story is very good, and Yoji Shinkawa's art is always superb (it looks like a motion comic in the cutscenes). The game has that Kojima humor, which doesn't take itself too seriously and makes everything silly sometimes. The gameplay isn't perfect on the PSP and can be a little imprecise, but it's nothing that takes away from the fun. This game is amazing, and I recommend it anytime. It's a true PSP masterpiece.
