in contrast to Super Castlevania 4, the controls in this game actually feel good. the way continues work adds a frustrating layer of difficulty, but having beaten it I do now feel rewarded for struggling against it as much as I did. the levels are long and there are almost no health drops, which makes me like the game a bit less, as you feel like you have to play nearly perfectly to win, but the checkpointing is fairly generous which dulls that complaint somewhat. really liked this game in the end and ill probably go back adn learn to play it better in the future
