i was playing some pirated copy with a gameshark code to let me through the intro lockout but after playing long enough id go on the balloon and it would stop letting me teleport anywhere and all the doors would be closed so i thought the game bugged out and just did it all over again. i probably wasted like 30 hours before i gave up.
