Technically better than the vanilla original, but only because it lets you play all the factions.

While Alexander had a map that lacked Europe, this expansion's map lacks most of Asia. Not to mention it's not very accurate.

Still the turn limit makes this game practically unplayable for me. Despite how fun and addictive the core gameplay is.

I would still recommend the modded original over this.
