This game pretty much defined my childhood, and I have spent an absolutely unnecessary amount of time playing it.

At the age of 7 I saw a listing on a website for it (https://play-free-online-games.com/games/blockland.html) and begged my parents to buy the game for me. I still remember the first server I ever went on, a free build, and looking around other peoples' builds. The game is not exactly what it once was in terms of player base, with I think maximum 10 people playing at any given moment now, but I will always look back on it fondly.

The obstacle courses/challenges, zombie defense, that one server that was a top-down apocalypse survival, prison RP, boss battles, the block party, Spade's arcade, deathrun, being poor in city RPs, mini empires, murder mystery, the knife grappling DMs, those infinite mining servers, a little more recently the randomiser deathmatch, and all the other funky servers that people would come up with. Not to mention the incredible amount of add-ons, and more so through RTB, and the easy-to-grasp event system. I also still remember being in awe at the shaders update, and me and my friend playing around with the brick physics to see all the realtime shadows.

Even though it's a fair bit past its expiration date now, and we have alternatives like Brickadia in development, I will never forget this game and the impact it had on me.

P.S. my ID was 5462, if you know me then please say hi!
