If there's any element to DA: Origins I actively find myself disliking, it's the combat. Top-down strategy games aren't out of the realm of enjoyment for me generally, but the core game stretched my appreciation to the limit in that regard with the occasionally ball-busting section and the final conflict that feels pretty badly optimized on the whole. This DLC recreates that unfortunate homestretch and changes the perspective to that of the Darkspawn, which would be cute if it weren't the shallowest version of that experience imaginable. Only for the die-hard DA: O fans, and even then the appeal is limited.
