What an amazing game! This game perfectly blends lots of different genres into an enjoyable and relaxing adventure.

The game is about diving, catching fish, and using the fish as ingredients in a sushi restaurant. This makes for a blend of relaxing underwater gameplay with exciting segments of restaurant management.

But the game is not just that! The team at MINTROCKET really packed this game full of content. There are so many things to do and the variety keeps the game fresh and exciting. I don't want to spoil the surprises, but suffice to say this game is larger than I expected.

The good:
The music is good and fits the moods well. The restaurant has a catchy repetitive tune, while the diving sections have relaxing melodies which almost disappear, making you feel immersed. There are also boss battles, and they have fast tracks that make you excited to fight.

The gameplay loop is addictive and fun at its core. As you progress through the game, you keep unlocking new mechanics, mini-games, and game modes, which makes for a rewarding experience.

The characters are funny and I liked the interactions between them. I especially like the protagonist, Dave, who is just a regular guy who dives for work. I enjoyed playing as a good, easygoing guy with no super powers or special abilities.

The bad:
The game has an oxygen meter which depletes as you dive. This effectively acts as your health underwater. Whenever an enemy hits you, you lose some oxygen. But the oxygen also depletes on its own. At the beginning, this can make it difficult to dive for a long time.

Sometimes the gameplay balance feels off. The diving sections can get long while the rest of the game takes a step back. If you don't enjoy the diving sections, I can see that part being unappealing.

Conclusion:
I could feel the love that the developers put into this game at every moment. I loved almost all of it, although there were some parts which were less engaging than others. For example, there is a farming section which I almost entirely ignored. But that's the thing: you can ignore certain parts of the game, so it never really gets overwhelming or annoying.

This is one of the best games I've ever played and I'll be happy to come back to it once the Godzilla DLC comes out.
