I bounced off of this game once before connecting with it. Once it took hold of me, I couldn't let it go. It is, to me, a masterpiece. Yes, it is slow, and if that is a dealbreaker, then this game won't work for you. But to me, that slow plodding of my armored character added to the oppressive, smothering atmosphere the game creates. This is a game that will stick with me for the rest of my life, which is a rare occurrence these days.
