Indiana Jones, the greatest adventurer of all time. With Fate of Atlantis we got what felt like the fourth part. With Infernal Machine and Emperor's Tomb, two more action-packed sequels. But what if we want to whip, shoot and jump our way through the first three adventures of our beloved Fedora wearer? Then there's no getting around Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures on the SNES. The game looks fantastic, the sound is a direct translation to the SNES SPC700 sound chip and yes, you really do feel like Indy. Included are Raiders, Doom and Crusade with their respective locations, often slightly expanded. Action-packed scenes like the escape from the temple in Peru, the mine cart ride and the plane ride with Henry Senior are all there. Only the boss fights, especially parts 1 and 3, deviate more than the regular levels from the original, but they remain appropriate and fit in well with the general feel of the game. Or would you have just wanted to watch the Nazis open the Ark of the Covenant as a boss fight? So grab your Webley, your whip and your Fedora and swing through the sometimes very challenging but detailed scenery. For fortune and glory, kid.
