The core combat is an interesting take on turn based strategy that I definitely enjoyed. The story and characters were adequate but didn't really draw me in. The story also suffered from some really slow periods in the middle that I barely managed to slog through. The choice system felt novel at first until I realized how little difference it actually makes in many cases. That being said, I did enjoy the prompt to actually think and formulate my own plans before proceeding rather than just watching the story unfold. The game main strength is in the core combat, with a handful of interesting classes (though somewhat hit-or-miss) and a well-executed energy (TP) system.
