a flawled hypetrain, but a hypetrain nonetheless

i said before that if kh 3 wasn't better than kh 2, i would quit the series, well, lets just say i'm willing to give it another chance.

for startes i know of the issues, worlds with no reason, weird pacing, a cooking system with no reason to engage (this goes to many games actually, i feel no need to engage in a temporary minor buff), a matuselain of a gummi building system like jesus i get that if it ain't broke don't fix it but i'd like some adjustments like lemme use my mouse to build, you don't have to go spore but come on, they nerfed flowmotion ! now i can't go full monkeh around, i guess they want me to use the scripted walls, they legit forgot to name sora a master after he used the power of waking, legit i'm stronger in-game than sora is on cutscenes, its a bit jarring to watch, there is no mouse camera, instead there is a joystick simulator using your mouse, it feels real weird.. i can go on

the flaws are apparent, but so is the effort, contrary to what many people say, i don't think they didn't try their actual best to end an arc of this story.
like i said this is a flawed hypetrain, an kingdom avengers if you will.
there are so many fun things about this still, i never used the camera for the collectables but rather i took selfes through the entire adventure, i still had an absolute blast with it, the world even if a bit silly to have, were well cared to each own have something different and fun to do.
the quality of life little things are great too, the addition of keyblade upgrading is very welcome, thank you very much, being able to prepare before the retry of a battle, dark mode is no longer forced on you but rather a risky choice to get out of a tight spot and a few more hammered out little quirks from other games that feel much better in this one, i'm very glad i didn't need to deal with any : oblivion cards, dream eaters, rng skills, the combat is a little floaty but i feel its the third best, the first two are kh 2 and bbs.
as for the story, it takes a bit to get going, i'd say the last 10 hours are exactly what i wanted from this game, so many lovely hugs, so many good people joined back together, yen sid eating asses for free, terra bitch kabe-doing xehanort, LINGERING WILL TO THE RESCUE, ventus did not awknoledge roxas however big bummer, axel going good boy that i aways knew he was, my ex-organization trio finally being happy, a fight with 3 bosses at the same time, the final fight being with the half-pint trio, if i had any gripe would be that sora is clearly much stronger in-game than on cutscenes, boy get whacked.
i may have given Back cover some flack but i will admit, when the DANDELION LEGION came to the rescue, and the names of many actual players of the gacha came on screen to save my ass, that moment got me hard, i will admit that i cried.

despite the flaws, despite the problems, i will not bring myself to dislike it, it was not a cash grab, it truly felt like a work of passion being put despite everything agains't it, its a culmination of all the games trying to make it all worth it in the end, like i said this is the end of a saga, even when kh 4 comes, this marks the end of a journey that have been made through years.
its not as great as kh 2, but i think its nowhere near as bad as any one of the other games, i'm almost saying its better than birth by sleep by sheer fan service alone.
its not perfect.
but its great.
