+ Engrossing, well-written mystery plot
+ The trials are probably the best part of the game. The suspense combined with the time limit can get your heart pumping

± Has elements that feel similar to Ace Attorney (investigation/trial), Zero Escape (bizarre mystery story), and Persona (social links)
± The point-and-click/visual novel school life sections preceding the trials are decent but can drag on too long with a lot of backtracking

- Linear, repetitive gameplay
- Exaggerated anime trope characters, though some of them are likeable. Also, they often overlook the obvious so another character can subsequently correct them, which gets old fast
- PC port has some technical issues
