+ Imagine Terraria with hardcore & expert mode permanently on, only wizard gear, and wand-building instead of house-building, and you'd basically have Noita
+ Very addictive with some brilliant ideas (impossible to describe without spoilers)
+ Emergent gameplay out the wazoo

± Steep learning curve and permadeath, so I'd only recommend it for serious roguelite (or Terraria) fans
± Much of the content is extremely obscure and hidden. Not to mention it's almost all endgame stuff. The developers focused too much on appealing to their most hardcore fans, in my view

- Prone to slowdown and/or crashing on long runs (or if you go too far with your wand build)

This is actually the only "roguelite" (besides maybe FTL) I ever got into.

I'm happy you did! I always find it so satisfying to play, so I'm not surprised. Perhaps I shouldn't have worded it that way, because I wish everyone could enjoy it like we did.

That said, I've seen many people turned off by Noita's difficulty in reviews and streams and such. They get too frustrated by losing progress on each death and starting over from the beginning. Especially when Noita is always trying to kill you in new and unpredictable ways (or more often than not, baiting the player into killing themselves).

At least the dev was smart to put an autosave in case of a crash
