+ Combines the depth and difficulty of classic roguelikes with a more fleshed-out RPG presentation
+ Unrivaled selection of classes (currently 37) with wildly different abilities. For instance, you can play as a Paradox Mage who wields spells that control (or even rewind) time, or as an Oozemancer who summons slimes and spits acid
+ Skills have MMO-style progression trees, cooldown system, and GUI
+ Multiple difficulty levels, and permadeath can optionally be turned off
+ Large world map with numerous dungeons, villages/shops, and quests

± Some classes, races, and skills need to be unlocked before you can access them (with the reason given being that they are more advanced to play)

- Playthroughs are very long and without much variation. Trying out all the classes can start to feel like a slog
- The game engine and UI now feel antiquated and clunky (much like Dungeons of Dredmor)
