Never reviewed this. It's Call of Duty. Campaign was solid but I'm someone who always plays the story and somewhat enjoys them. I liked the dialogue choice mechanic. It still feels like there's not much of a challenge from a gameplay perspective and it's a little uninteresting. I think CoD needs to do a full 180° and try something different. More on that below.
Multiplayer in the first half of the year was lots of fun. I enjoy Treyarch's movement a bunch. Second half of the year camping, head glitchin, and all the regular CoD bullshit began. It'll only get worse now that Vanguard is out. Still will place top of the lobby 95% of the time.
Personally I think CoD need to bring something fully fresh to the series. Don't hate me for saying this but something like The Division, the latest Ghost Recon titles, and even probably Far Cry. Open world CoD where you have a guiding hand for the story but can do plenty of side or optional missions like Cold War tested the waters with and marked areas to jump into a multiplayer lobby (multiplayer is still accessible on it's own). Will this happen? No. CoD will remain CoD until numbers drop so low they have to rethink the formula because they certainly are not dropping the brand.
